The Virtual University is dedicated to the absolute privacy
of its customers and all on-line users. We will never disclose, sell, or
lease any information to any third party without your express permission
(or the permission of your employer if they have purchased your training),
unless required to do so by law.
server logs
Like most web sites, the Virtual University keeps server logs of
accesses to its site. We use these logs to determine what sections of our
site are being accessed so that we may improve our site. These logs
do not contain personally identifiable information such as your

personal information
The Virtual University does not collect personal information
from customers without their consent. However, the nature of the service
we provide to our customers sometimes requires us to ask for a good deal
of personal information before we can permit you to begin your training.
For instance, depending on your profession, we may need to know your
professional license number and when it was issued. We may need to
know your home and work addresses. We may need your home and work
telephone numbers. We will only ask you for information that is required
by the state and federal agencies that regulate your profession and we
will guard that information vigilantly.
In addition to the information we collect when you register for a course,
certain courses contain questions about historical details of your life.
For instance, we may ask you the color of your first car or where you
attended elementary school. We may use these questions as an auditing
tool to verify that the customer applying for prelicense or continuing
education credits is the customer who actually completed the course.
You do not need to answer these audit questions truthfully, but you
must remember the answers that you provide.
purchases
When you purchase a course by credit card, we are required for credit
verification and fraud protection reasons to obtain your name,
address, credit card number and expiry date, phone number and e-mail
address. The Virtual University shares your personal information
only with members of our credit card processing network so that we may
validate your credit and protect ourselves against fraud. This
information is encrypted to protect your privacy. We encourage you to
speak with your credit card issuer and find out what policies they
have in place to protect your personal information.
In cases where the Virtual University has been the victim
of credit card fraud, we may elect to share this information with the
appropriate law enforcement authorities and to pursue legal action.
